Celebrate 150 years of Chester’s Town Hall by taking your very own self-guided trail around the historic building.

Visit location such as the Committee room and Council chambers and learn about the many people that have served here and the stories behind them. Learn about the former mayor and founder of Chester racecourse Henry Gee, and the bloody event that lead to him turning the Roodee into a site for racing! Explore the Court room and discover which famous TV soap it features in!

Interact with a state of the art display case dedicated to the Royal Families connection to the Town Hall, from Edward VII through to the Duchess of Sussex who had lunch with HRH Queen Elizabeth II in the building on what was her first official Royal engagement.
